SPK in mediaEcoplastic from slovakiaThe Slovak science has set the Thames on fire once again! The Polymer institute of Slovak Academy of Science and the Institute for polymer materials of Faculty of chemical and food technology of Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (FCHPT STU) created a recipe – production and processing technology of a new biodegradable polymer material based on raw materials from recyclable sources. Currently the use of similar materials is very rare. The standard plastics are mainly produced from non-recyclable raw materials and they are excessive burden for the environment. We can see the negative impact of these plastics all around us... That is why there is a need in the society to create such „plastic material“ that would be recyclable on one hand, on the other hand it would serve as an ecologic packaging material.
